Eye drops AnimAll VetLine for cats and dogs, 30 ml
Taurine, chlorhexidine, succinic acid, lidocaine, calendula, chamomile extract
Liquid cosmetic and hygienic agent for animal eyes
Composition
1 ml of the drug contains:
active substance: taurine – 20.0 mg, chlorhexidine bigluconate – 0.15 mg, succinic acid – 1.0 mg, lidocaine hydrochloride – 5.0 mg, calendula extract – 5.0 mg, chamomile extract – 5.0 mg, eyebright extract – 5.0 mg.
Excipients: distilled water up to 1 ml.
Pharmacological properties
Taurine is involved in the synthesis of plastic material, as a result of which it stimulates reparative and regenerative processes in diseases of the eyes of a dystrophic nature and/or in pathological processes accompanied by a sharp disruption of the metabolism of eye tissues, including eye injuries. Contributes to the normalization of the functions of cell membranes, optimization of energy and metabolic processes, maintaining the constancy of the electrolyte composition of the cytoplasm of cells, inhibition of synaptic transmission.
Succinic acid normalizes redox processes, has a reparative effect, slows down the development of cataracts, and prevents degenerative and dystrophic disorders in the retina and lens.
Chlorhexidine bigluconate has a bactericidal effect on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, lipophilic viruses, and dermatophytes.
Chlorhexidine penetrates into the intracellular membranes of bacterial cells, settles on the cytoplasm, and changes the function of the membrane, preventing oxygen consumption, which causes a decrease in ATP levels and cell death. Destroys DNA and disrupts DNA synthesis in microorganisms. Provides long-term persistent antimicrobial activity.
Lidocaine inhibits sensitive nerve endings of the skin and mucous membranes, that is, it causes reversible suppression of the conduction of tissue elements of nerve cells (neuron, axon, synapses).
The mechanism of action of local anesthetics is to suppress ionic fluxes through neuronal membranes, which are mandatory for the formation of an irritant.
After installation into the conjunctival sac, the local anesthetic effect is achieved in 2-3 minutes. and lasts at least 6-8 minutes. (Usually up to 10-15 minutes.) The onset of anesthesia is one minute after installation. Maximum anesthesia is achieved after 5 minutes. after instillation.
Marigold flowers contain carotenoids (carotene, lycopene, violaxanthin, citraxanthin, rubixanthin, flavochrom), flavonoids (narcisin, rhamnetin, isorhamnetin-3-triglucoside, isoquercitrin), essential oil, saponins, bitter mucus in calenden, substances smoked , organic acids (malic, salicylic, pentadecyl), phytosterol, enzymes, vitamin C, alkaloids. This complex of biologically active substances has anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, bactericidal, accelerates tissue regeneration processes.
Chamomile flowers – biologically active substances have analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, reduce allergic reactions, enhance regeneration processes.
Eyebright flowers and leaves – contain essential and fatty oils, flavonoids, tannins, coumarins, glycosides, anthocyanins, and vitamins.
Eyebright flowers and leaves have a positive effect on visual acuity, reduce inflammation, even have a therapeutic and prophylactic effect on degenerative-dystrophic processes in the eye membrane, and also reduce eye puffiness and slow down age-related metabolic disorders.
Application
Dogs and cats: daily hygienic treatment of the eyes, prevention of cataracts, with acute and chronic catarrhal and serous-catarrhal conjunctivitis with a therapeutic and prophylactic purpose, excessive tearing, inflammation of the mucous membrane, and vascular hyperemia of the eyeball (red-eye syndrome), after injuries and ingress of foreign bodies, age-related dystrophic and degenerative changes in the cornea and retina.
Dosage
Prevention of cataracts and age-related dystrophic and degenerative changes in the cornea and retina, 1-2 drops 2 times a day. The duration of treatment is in courses of 20 days with a 10-day interval.
Inflammation of the mucous membrane and hyperemia of the vessels of the eyeball (syndrome of “red-eye”), after injuries and foreign bodies, are prescribed 1-2 drops 3 times a day. The treatment period is 5-14 days.
Daily eye care, conjunctivitis with a sterile gauze swab moistened with the drug, remove exudate and crusts from the inner corner of the eye, after which the drug is instilled into the conjunctival cavity of cats and dogs weighing up to 10 kg – 1 drop, dogs weighing more than 10 kg – 2 drops 1-3 times a day if necessary at 5-10 day intervals.
when treating the eyes once a day, the drug is used for no more than 45 days, after which a 10-day break is taken;
– when processing 2 times a day, the drug is used for no more than 20 days, after which a 7-day break is taken;
– when treating the eyes 3 times a day, the drug is used for no more than 14 days, after which a 5-day break is taken.
