Controls phosphatemia and metabolic acidosis. Provides the body with minerals (calcium salts and sodium bicarbonate) and polysaccharides (chitosan), which are useful for maintaining normal metabolic processes in the animal and proper urinary tract function.
Renal P action:
Calcium lactate gluconate, calcium carbonate binds dietary phosphorus in the intestine
Chitosanabsorbs molecules of phosphorus and nitrogenous compounds reduces the level of creatinine in the blood
Sodium bicarbonate is an alkaline agent that controls metabolic acidosis (requires up to 2 months of continuous use)
Renal P has several advantages:
Well tolerated. Does not cause hypercalcemia with long courses (if there is no parallel osteosarcoma, which increases the level of calcium). Reduces phosphorus levels after 30 days (from 8 to 5). Eliminates vomiting and diarrhea, maintains body weight, increases appetite.
The feed powder is added in a proportion of 0.2 g per 1 kg of body weight of the animal for a course of 30 days with possible repetition, dividing the daily dose into 2-3 doses.
It is preferable to add the product to wet food; in the case of a dry food-only diet, slightly dampen the food to ensure good adhesion of the powder and its complete consumption.
After completing the 30-day course, it is recommended to seek veterinarian advice for further use of the drug.
Make sure your pet has plenty of water freely available.
