Description
Clear, colorless or yellowish solution for injection.
Composition
1 ml of the drug contains the active substance
gentamicin sulfate – 100 mg.
Pharmacological properties
Gentamicin belongs to the group of aminoglycosides. It is active against gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms: Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp. Shigella spp., Enterobacter aerogenes, Klebsiella spp ., some species of Proteus spp . and Serratia spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella multocida, Staphylococcus aureus, Serpulina hyodysenteriae, Mycoplasma spp . On sensitive cells, gentamicin acts in several directions: influence on the integrity of the cytoplasmic membrane, influence on RNA metabolism; inhibition of protein synthesis at the level of the 30s ribosomal subunit.
Application
Treatment of cattle, calves, sheep, goats and pigs with diseases of the digestive tract and respiratory organs caused by microorganisms sensitive to gentamicin.
Dosage
Intramuscularly at a dose of 1 ml of the drug per 20-40 kg of body weight of the animal (5-10 mg of gentamicin per 1 kg of body weight), twice a day for 3 days.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to gentamicin or to any excipient.
Do not administer to animals with impaired renal, hearing or balance function. Do not use with bacteriostatic, nephrotoxic, ototoxic drugs or neuromuscular blockers. Do not use with other aminoglycosides. Do not administer intravenously with calcium preparations. Do not use with iron preparations and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Cautions
Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed 7 days after the last use of the drug. The consumption of milk for food by people is allowed 3 days after the last use of the drug. Meat and milk received before the specified period are disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of a veterinary medicine doctor.
