Streptocide ointment 5%, 100 g

Composition:

100 g of the drug contains the active substance: streptocid – 5 g

Pharmacological properties:

Streptocide belongs to sulfonamides. It disrupts the formation of so-called growth factors in microorganisms – folic acid, dehydrofolic acid, and other compounds that contain para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) in their molecule. Due to the similarity of the structures of PABA and streptocide, sulfanilamide as a competitive antagonist of the acid is included in the metabolic chains of the microorganism and disrupts the exchange processes in it, which leads to a bacteriostatic effect. Streptocide has a bacteriostatic effect against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (Streptococcus spp., Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Escherichia coli, Shigella spp., Proteus spp., Enterobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Yersinia spp., Vibrio cholerae, Haemophilus influenzae, Bacteroides spp., Chlamydia spp.).

Application:

Treatment of cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and cats with infected wounds, burns, purulent-inflammatory processes, cracks in the skin of the nipples, furunculosis caused by microorganisms sensitive to streptocide.

Dosage:

Apply directly to the affected area of ​​the skin or on a gauze napkin, and also use for dressing, 1-2 times a day. Before use, the affected area is cleaned of dirt and foreign particles.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to streptocide.

Warning:

When using for cats, do not allow licking of the drug.

Possible form of release:

Cans made of polymer materials of 50 g and 800 g.

Dry, dark place inaccessible to children at a temperature from 0°С to 18°С.
