Description
White or cream-colored powder.
Composition
100 g of the preparation contains the active ingredient: tylosin tartrate – 10 g.
Excipients: powdered sugar.
Pharmacological properties

Tylosin is an antibiotic of the macrolide group, active against gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms, including: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Diplococcus spp., Micrococcus spp., Corynebacterium spp., Clostridium spp., Erysovipelothrix spp., Erysovipelothrix spp., Erysovipelothrix spp. Fusobacterium spp., Leptospira spp., Bacteroides spp., Spherophorus spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp. And Chlamydia spp. High sensitivity to tylosin is noted in Mycoplasma gallisepticum, M. meleagridis, M. synoviae, M. arthritidis, M. hyosynoviae, M. suipneumoniae, M. hyorhinis.
The antimicrobial effect is to suppress bacterial protein synthesis by binding the active substance to ribosomes.
When administered orally, the drug is rapidly and completely absorbed from the digestive tract and creates therapeutic concentrations in tissues after 2 hours, penetrates into all organs and tissues of the body.
It is excreted from the body mainly with urine and bile, in lactating animals – with milk, and in laying hens – with eggs.
Application
Pigs: treatment of animals suffering from enzootic pneumonia, atrophic rhinitis, arthritis, dysentery, secondary infections in viral diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to tylosin.
Poultry (broilers, breeding chickens, replacement chickens, turkeys), rabbits: treatment of animals and poultry for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and respiratory system caused by microorganisms sensitive to tylosin.
Calves under 3 months of age: treatment of animals for diseases of the digestive tract and respiratory system caused by microorganisms sensitive to tylosin.
Dosage
Orally in doses:
- pigs – 2.5 g of the drug per 1 liter of drinking water daily for 3-5 days. After the cessation of diarrhea, treatment must be continued for at least 24 hours;
- poultry (chickens, turkeys) for therapeutic purposes, the drug is prescribed to the following groups of poultry: breeding poultry, turkeys, broilers – 5 g of the drug per 1 liter of water for 2-5 days. Before use, the drug is dissolved beforehand in a small amount of water, adding water to the drug, and not vice versa. The prepared solution is diluted with water to the required concentration;
- rabbits – with feed 0.5 g of the drug per 1 kg of body weight 2 times a day for 5-7 days;
- calves under the age of 3 months – 1-2 g per 1 kg of feed or per 1 liter of drinking water for 3-5 days.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to tylosin. Do not use in laying hens whose eggs are intended for human consumption. Do not use in ruminants with functionally developed proventriculus. Do not use the drug simultaneously with erythromycin, clindamycin, lincomycin, chloramphenicol, penicillins.
Caveats
Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed 7 days after the drug is used. The meat obtained before the specified time is disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinary doctor.
Release form
Plastic cans, plastic or laminated bags of 2.5; 10 and 200 g.
Storage
A dry, dark place out of the reach of children at temperatures from 0 ° С to 25 ° С and relative humidity – no more than 75%. List B.
