Frontline Combo Spot On is an insectoacaricidal preparation containing fipronil (C12H4CL2F6N4OS) and S-methoprene as an active ingredient, as well as excipients and solvents.
Frontline Combo Spot On is a colorless transparent liquid with a weak specific odor. “Frontline Combo Spot On” is produced in the form of a 10% solution for topical (point) application, packaged in 0.5; 0.67; 1.34; 2.68; and 4.02 ml in polyethylene pipettes with a broken-off tip, placed 1 piece per package, which contains the name of the manufacturer and its trademark, volume, purpose and composition of the drug, batch number, date of manufacture. Each blister is packed in a cardboard box. Fipronil, which is part of the drug, blocks the GABA receptors of the parasite and has a pronounced insecticidal and acaricidal effect against lice, fleas, lice and ticks (ixodid, cheilitella, otodektosis) parasitizing dogs and cats, the drug is effective at all stages of parasite development. Frontline Combo Spot On is not a systemic drug, it accumulates in the epidermis and sebaceous glands of the animal and has a contact insectoacaricidal effect on ectoparasites. “Frontline Combo Spot On” is gradually distributed over the entire surface of the body within 24 hours and provides protection of animals from ectoparasites, the duration of protection of animals from ticks: in cats – 15 – 21 days, in dogs – 1 month. Duration of flea protection for animals: in cats – 1.5 months, in dogs – 2 – 2.5 months. Repeated treatment of animals is carried out after the specified time. Frontline Combo Spot On, in terms of its impact on the body, belongs to the group of low-hazard substances – according to GOST 12.1.007.76, it does not show skin-resorptive, sensitizing, embryotoxic, teratogenic and mutagenic effects. Causes minor irritation in eye contact.
Frontline Combo Spot On is used to combat fleas, lice, lice and ticks (ixodid, cheilitella, otodektosis) dogs and cats, by topical (point) application of the drug to the skin. Before processing, the tip of the pipette is broken off, the animal’s hair is pushed apart in the region of the back (between the shoulder blades) and, pressing the pipette, the preparation is applied to the skin at one or several points.
Frontline Combo Spot On is used to treat otodectosis (ear scabies). For this purpose, 4-6 drops are instilled into each ear (drops must be injected into both ears). For even distribution of the preparation, fold the auricle in half and lightly massage its base, apply the remainder to the skin between the shoulder blades (single treatment). Frontline Combo Spot On is not permitted for use in puppies and kittens under 8 weeks of age. It is not recommended to wash animals within 48 hours after treatment with the drug. When working with the drug, you should follow the rules of personal hygiene and safety measures provided for working with veterinary medicinal products. You should not pet the animal within 24 hours after processing.
