Surf Solution for Injection (Surfagon), 50 ml

Description

Transparent, colorless solution.

Storage

1 ml of the drug contains the active substance: Surfagon – 5 μg (mkg).

Excipients: sodium chloride, nipagin, water for injections.

Pharmacological properties

Surfagon stimulates the release of pituitary gonadotropins into the blood maximum 2-3 hours after administration. The increased content of gonadotropins in the blood persists for 4-5 hours after administration. Unlike natural luliberin, the biological activity of Surfaron is 50 times higher, which allows the use of this drug in microdoses and short courses. Surfagon breaks down more slowly than natural luliberin under the action of enzymes, which provides a stronger biological effect on the hypertropic function of the pituitary gland.

Application

Early induction of the sexual cycle; treatment of ovarian hypofunction and follicular cysts; increasing the fertility of cows, ewes and sows.

Dosage

Surfagon is administered intramuscularly.

For early induction of the sexual cycle , Surfagon is administered to cows once in a dose of 50 mcg 8-12 days after calving. Insemination of animals is carried out no earlier than 45 days after calving.

For the treatment of a mild form of hypofunction of the ovaries , Surfagon is administered twice: the first time on the 8-12th day of the sexual cycle at a dose of 50 mcg, the second time after 10 days at a dose of 10-25 mcg. With a pronounced form of ovarian hypofunction, 10 cm ³ of a 1% oil solution of progesterone is administered intramuscularly on days 1, 3, and 5, and Surfagon is administered at a dose of 50 μg on day 7.

For the treatment of follicular cysts in cows , Surfagon is administered 3 times with an interval of 24 hours at a dose of 25 μg. On the 11th day after the initial administration of the drug, cloprostenol is administered in a dose of 100-200 μg twice with an interval of 10-12 hours.

In order to prevent early embryonic mortality , the drug is administered once in a dose of 10-50 mcg every 8-12 days after insemination to increase the functional activity of the corpus luteum of pregnancy.

In case of two or more grazing cows on day 10-14 of the sexual cycle, cloprostenol is administered intramuscularly twice with an interval of 10-12 hours in a dose of 100-200 μg. At the beginning of the hunt or 70 hours after the first administration of cloprostenol, 50 mg of Surfagon is administered and the animals are inseminated. On the 8-12th day after insemination, 50 μg of Surfagon is administered.

To increase the fertility of sows 24-48 hours after weaning piglets, animals are injected with 100 IU of FFA or GFA and after 56 hours Surfagon in a dose of 50 μg. Insemination of sows is carried out according to the instructions.

In order to increase the fecundity of ewes, the drug is administered in a dose of 12-15 μg.

Contraindication

Increased sensitivity to the drug.

Warning

There are no restrictions on the use of livestock products during the period of use of the drug.

Glass bottles, closed with rubber stoppers and aluminum caps for break-in, with a volume of 10, 50 and 100 ml.

Storage

A dry, dark place at a temperature of 2°С to + 10°С.

The shelf life is 2 years.
